Google has probably come up with its most improved Android with unique features like never before. But often fate has something else in store. A strong contender in the name of Samsung Galaxy S3 has shown marvelous talent in competing with Google’s latest pride Nexus 4.
Let us see how these two Androids are unique from each other.
DESIGN AND DIMENSIONS:
Though both the devices are designed by two unique maestros, their design is nothing starkly different. Galaxy S3 weighs a little lighter than Nexus 4. Galaxy S3 comes with a 136.6 by 70.6 by 8.6 mm dimension, while Nexus 4 comes with a dimension of 133.9 by 68.7 by 9.1 mm.
OS AND PROCESSOR:
A good Operating System and a good processor to support the device- this is the basic criteria for a Smartphone and in this field Nexus 4 walks away with the winner’s trophy. While Galaxy S3 has 4.1 Jelly Bean Android, and Quad-core processor; Nexus 4 comes with an upgraded version of 4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System having Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-core.
DISPLAY:
The AMOLED capacitive touch screen of Galaxy S3 has a 4.8 inch screen with 306 pixel density. On the other hand, display screen of Nexus 4 is 4.7 inch and it comes with True HD IPS Plus screen and a greater pixel density than its competitor. But what is similar in both these phones is that the Corning Gorilla glass protects both the phone screens.
CAMERA:
Though both the devices has the same 8 Megapixel camera, Galaxy S3 leads with a little more number of camera features. This apart, both the Smartphones has touch focus, LED flash, geo tagging, full HD video recording, face detection and the like.
BATTERY:
Nexus 4 has a moderate battery life which is non-replaceable. Though both the phones use Li-On 2, 100 m Ah battery, Galaxy S3 has a much better battery backup than Nexus 4.
MEMORY:
The internal memory of Nexus 4 is available in two variants: one with 8 GB and the other with 16 GB; and the most disappointing feature of this battery is that it is non- expandable. While Galaxy S3 boasts of 16 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB.
So, these were the basic pros and cons about Nexus 4 and Galaxy S3. Before we wrap up, let us go through some advantageous points of both:
Why would you choose Nexus 4 over Samsung Galaxy S3?
* As it is loaded with a good OS and a high quality processor, Apps run better in this phone.
* Screen is better- True HD IPS Plus.
* Well protected back with Gorilla Glass 2.
* Limited LTE connectivity
Why would you choose Galaxy S3 over Nexus 4?
* Super AMOLED touchscreen
* Bigger internal memory, also expandable.
* Better camera app.
* Multiple choice of software perks (Smart stay, MultiView etc.)
* User-removable battery.
* More handset color options.
Given all the pros and cons, now it’s time to get yourself involved. Study your requirements thoroughly before you buy a set. If you ask for suggestion, then we can suggest to buy Nexus 4 if you want your mobile to be a good performer, but if the mobile is more for your style statement with a giant screen and a good camera, then think no beyond than Galaxy S3.
in every respect Nexus 4 is better than S3 whether it's OS,power,performance,fluidity,design or upgrade only camera is slightly better in s3 but the major major problem is 0nly 16GB storage where Galaxy s3 becomes best option.
